Jerry Armstrong, TNT/EST at Osan AB ROK, 1978-1980. I remember when they asked for suggestions for renaming TNT. I sent in my suggestion for SPARTANS did not make it....lol, I just thought it would be cool to tell anyone being bad the SPARTANS (Security Police Armed Response Tactical Neutralization Specialists) are coming, striking fear into their hearts. Everyone on my team thought it was great, just too wordy to make the cut, I guess.
